"Hey Goat"

We spent last Sunday at Southwick's Zoo. They have a deer forest that you can walk through and feed the deer and a pretty large petting zoo area. The kids loved being so close to the animals. Though you wouldn't know it from Nick's response when we were walking out and asked him what his favorite thing at the zoo was. "Hmmm. Probably the popcorn." Great. Ryan said, "What? The popcorn?!!" And then he said, "My favorite thing was everything." Much better.

Doh duh doh duh doh duh doh

Chelsea got her first horsey ride from her big brother the other night. We don't know what she enjoyed more...the ride or the sound effects made by Mommy...

"Can she eat over?"

And it begins. Last week Nick ran over to our neighbor's yard to play with his buddy Zoey and a little while later we got a call..."Can Nicholas eat dinner at our house?". Yesterday, we were all outside playing together again and the kids were not happy that they had to depart and go into their respective houses. We invited Zoey to come inside to keep playing and not 5 minutes later Nick was asking, "Can Zoey eat dinner at our house?" After we said that yes she could and made the call to her Mom, the next obvious question came: "Can she sleep at our house too?" Let's just start with dinner Nick!! It brought me back to Gorwin Drive days of long ago when these same questions were asked of our parents many, many, many times! Right now I ask myself, why did our Mom's sometimes say "No"...what's the big deal?? I will have to remember to ask myself this question again in a few years. Somehow, I have a feeling my answer will be different.

Future Star of "Hoarders"...

Chelsea Pamela Wagner! The girl cannot leave her crib without at least 7 of her "buddies". Try as I might to go downstairs only with her giraffe (aka "puppy") we usually leave the bedroom with blankie, bear, bear, baby, doggie and doggie. Yes, that is two different bears and two different doggies. I think an intervention is in order...

Fisherman Nick

Last weekend we headed to Norwood for the kid's fishing derby with the Weafers. The kids had a ball and Nick made great use of his $11.99 Buzz Lightyear fishing pole! He actually stood there and fished for over an hour...I couldn't believe that he lasted that long! He didn't catch any fish but he got a little tug at one point and was perfectly satisfied (quite excited actually) that the fish had nibbled half of the worm off his hook.

Ahhhh, the patience needed to fish.
Great cast!
