Tug of War

This round goes to Nick but it doesn't look like it will be long before Chelsea kicks his butt!

Recent Pictures

Well it's officially summer with what feels like something to do every weekend day for the rest of the season! This past weekend we had a fun, adults only night out at Sue and Brian's on Friday night, on Saturday my college roommates Alison and Erin came over with their families for a BBQ and on Sunday we went to Pete and Tara's for Papa's birthday party. The camera must have been forgotten though because I have no pictures from any of these events! Recent ones taken here and there will have to do...

Tommy loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse too!

Chelsea's first time in the ocean...it doesn't look like it here but she LOVED it!

Cookie time!
This is how I found Chelsea when I checked on her last night...how uncomfortable does this look??!!

Big girl standing up! A week ago we were saying that she probably will never crawl and just go straight to walking like Nick, but within the past couple of days she has become VERY adventurous with leaning onto her hands and then moving forward. She is also trying to pull up on everything...we are in trouble once she becomes mobile!

Mini Vacation at Honeymoon

We loaded up the car this past Friday and headed up to Lake Winipesaukee for a mini vacation at Auntie Maggie and Uncle Tommy's beautiful lake house (called Honeymoon). Nan, Grampy Gary and Aunt Chris were up from Florida and we had a blast! We were very sad to leave everyone on Tuesday but are looking forward to seeing the Florida gang in less than two months when we head south! Thank you Maggie & Tommy for having us up! (We'll be back!!)

Chelsea and Owen - Owen was flirting with Chelsea all weekend long, it was super cute!
Daddy the Duck Whisperer and Nick - feeding the ducks was Nick's favorite activity of the weekend
Nan and Grampy Gary about to dive into a yummy lobster dinner

Chelsea mowing on a rib - I never would have let Nick eat a rib when he was 8 months old!!

Owen rocking the hair clip!

Parade shots below...Wolfeboro puts on a great parade!

Who would have thought that celebrities go to Lake Wini for the 4th?! That's Jimmy Fallon above signing autographs at the parade. Aunt Chris and Nan were the only ones with big enough ____s to go up to him and ask for a picture. When we were walking back to the house after the parade Jimmy and his wife were walking DIRECTLY next to us! Ryan got Nick to yell, "What's up Jimmy?!!" He turned aournd and pointed at Nick and said, "Hey buddy!" Then Ryan showed him Nick's NE Patriots shirt and his own Boston Bruins shirt and Jimmy said, "Are you wearing your Red Sox underwear too?" Pretty cool guy. Even after we became BFs with him we were still too shy to ask him for a picture...total wimps!

Thursday Playdate

Nick, Chelsea and I have been getting together with my friend Alison and her two kids, Jack and Megan, every Thursday for about 7 or so months now. Our friend Julie and her daughter Eliza joined us a few months ago. It's great to get the kids together but we mostly do it so that we can see each other. However, when you add up the actual minutes we spend talking and comprehending what each other are saying, in between suggesting things for the kids to do, taking things out of mouths, feeding, changing diapers, breaking up fights, etc....it's probably about 18 minutes of quality "adult time" but hey, every minute counts!!!!!

Here are some pics from today...

Visitors from the West Coast

We were very lucky to have my friend Brooke and her beautiful and charming daughter Kate visit us this week while they were in MA from San Diego. Wish we could see them more than a couple of times a year!

It's really hard to get a picture of 3 kids under 3!!!

Unless you put them all in a laundry basket! We introduced Kate to Swedish Fish...she LOVED them! (Sorry Brooke!) Chelsea loved the box.

"Dancing" Machine

Nick put on a couple of "dancing" displays recently that I was able to get on video. The first one was the sitting down one and it kind of worried me to be honest. But after the standing up one I think there might be hope for this child yet...

Where for art thou Laz?

I came back from a girl's weekend away to Miami on Monday and I am missing Laz, the cabana boy. I would really like someone to lay out my towel every morning, pick up my trash and ask me every hour, "Is there anything you need?" Maybe someday. For now I will just relish the memories of our trip...we made a few more and laughed about a lot of the old ones! Can't wait for "Mom's Get-the-Hell-Out-of-the-House Weekend 2010"!!! (PS - I have to give a shout out to my wonderful hubby for taking fabulous care of our children while I was away. Love you Ry!)
Our hotel (The Fontainbleau)

Our cabana

That's me putting on a little dancing show for the girls in the cabana (I wish)

VERY LARGE DRINKS (they roped us into eating here by telling us that they had 2 for 1 drinks...little did we know that they were $25 each and we would only be able to drink 1!!!!)

Chris and Sandy chillin in the pool (it was HOT!)

Chris and Sue on our last night :( The bartender was originally from Weymouth, such a small world. I am pretty sure we laughed for two hours straight while we were at the bar!!!

Late night party foul (I won't say who!)
