How'd that sidewalk taste?

Chelsea's first official pavement face-plant. There have been many skinned knees but somehow, this time, she managed to skip right over the knees and land directly on her face. The only thing that could save her was her cute little button nose and that took a beating. When I picked her up and saw the blood I started running because I thought it was a bloody nose. But after one wipe I realized it was just skin coming off! Awesome. But after only about 2 minutes of crying and a clean up she was ready to hit the road again. This video shows her poor little nose and her "reading" her favorite book...

Memorial Day Weekend

Hey. Better late than never!

We hit the Hanson parade and then Uncle Pete's for a party. The kids had a blast in the "jumpy" and the pool and they both took naps while we were there so we got to stay all day; melt-down free!!! Nick learned about the American Flag and now wherever we go he points them out. I never realized how many there are around! So nice to see.

Ready to go!
The future of America!

This girl has NO fear (kind of scary actually)

Crazy cousins trying to stay away from the Daddy monster

There she goes again

My Favorite Moments...

...when I am in the bathroom getting ready in the morning and I hear conversations like this:
N: "Chelsea, do you want to do the flashlights in my bed?"
C: "Yeah"
N: "OK. Come on!"
C: "K"
N: "Now come up on my bed with me"
C: "K"
N: "OK. Now lay down on my pillow and I will put the blanket on you"
C: "K"
N: "Hold on. I forgot to turn off the light"
C: "K"
N: "OK. All set. Now shine your heart on the ceiling"
C: "K!!!!"
Lots of laughing follows.

They're getting along and having fun and Nick is being so sweet to his little sister. Absolutely melts my heart!

Half the time it ends with whining and hitting but it's great while it lasts!

"Hey Goat"

We spent last Sunday at Southwick's Zoo. They have a deer forest that you can walk through and feed the deer and a pretty large petting zoo area. The kids loved being so close to the animals. Though you wouldn't know it from Nick's response when we were walking out and asked him what his favorite thing at the zoo was. "Hmmm. Probably the popcorn." Great. Ryan said, "What? The popcorn?!!" And then he said, "My favorite thing was everything." Much better.

Doh duh doh duh doh duh doh

Chelsea got her first horsey ride from her big brother the other night. We don't know what she enjoyed more...the ride or the sound effects made by Mommy...

"Can she eat over?"

And it begins. Last week Nick ran over to our neighbor's yard to play with his buddy Zoey and a little while later we got a call..."Can Nicholas eat dinner at our house?". Yesterday, we were all outside playing together again and the kids were not happy that they had to depart and go into their respective houses. We invited Zoey to come inside to keep playing and not 5 minutes later Nick was asking, "Can Zoey eat dinner at our house?" After we said that yes she could and made the call to her Mom, the next obvious question came: "Can she sleep at our house too?" Let's just start with dinner Nick!! It brought me back to Gorwin Drive days of long ago when these same questions were asked of our parents many, many, many times! Right now I ask myself, why did our Mom's sometimes say "No"...what's the big deal?? I will have to remember to ask myself this question again in a few years. Somehow, I have a feeling my answer will be different.

Future Star of "Hoarders"...

Chelsea Pamela Wagner! The girl cannot leave her crib without at least 7 of her "buddies". Try as I might to go downstairs only with her giraffe (aka "puppy") we usually leave the bedroom with blankie, bear, bear, baby, doggie and doggie. Yes, that is two different bears and two different doggies. I think an intervention is in order...
